Penelope Bent has been photographing women throughout most of her adult life. She began as a boudoir photographer in the late 1970s, working with women from around the world. In the 1980s, she shot her first magazine cover for an Italian publication. As one of the few female photographers at the time, Penelope brought a unique, honest narrative and collaborative approach to her work. Throughout her career, she primarily focused on the fashion industry, capturing both 5'11" fashion models and 5'6" lifestyle models, giving her a distinct perspective on style, age, and fashion.

After years in the fashion and talent industry, Penelope Bent was introduced to the world of recruiting by Josette Hoffman, one of the most successful talent acquisition leaders in the field. As a professional model, Josette had worked with Penelope in her Model/Actor Development Program and on numerous fashion magazine covers.
